Filming Day 1

 Production starts now

Over the weekend Abby and I began our filming process. Going into Sunday, we knew we would have to get as much done as possible. I have a very busy week because of flag football, meetings, and other events for athletics. Using three actors and having two directors makes it difficult to find days where everyone is free. So, Sunday was the best option to accomplish everything. We ended up getting every scene filmed, but after looking at the footage we realized we need to film a few scenes again. Josh, who plays Bennett, had a beach birthday party later in the day so he was wearing an interesting outfit that didn't match the vibe of our project. We are currently trying to find another day to film Josh's scenes.

The primary setting for our trailers will be my house. We filmed in my room, living room, home office, backyard, and front yard. This image is of me filming Abby (Olivia) looking at her newly found camera. We have a lot of footage specifically in this room. We took a lot so that we would have enough to choose from for both trailers.

This is more of a "behind-the-scenes" blooper picture but this is from when we were filming in my front yard/street. We had a short car chase scene between Olivia and Bennett which was very fun to film. The picture is of Lauren, who came over to film us filming for her documentary portfolio, protecting my mailbox from Abby hitting it. Lauren followed us around all day while we filmed and also interviewed Abby and I about the project. Yes, there are two Abby's so I'm sorry for the confusion lol. Anyways we had a lot of fun filming this part of the trailers, but again, we have more footage than we will probably need. This is where the majority of Josh's scenes were filmed, so we will have to re-film this part. I will do another post about that filming day next week. By following our timeline we are on pace but must start post production at some point next. If we have to, we will adjust the timeline but we are on track as of now.
A piece of footage from the home office scene. While filming on Sunday, we also added content to our Instagram. I took videos of each character and added it to their respective highlights while also posting behind the scenes pictures.
We moved locations and transitioned to Town Center. Coincidentally, there was a car show going on at the same time we got there so the main street was blocked off to cars. This ended up working perfectly for our plot as we needed an area with no people for the scene. We have great footage in this location. By the way, the masks were part of the trailers that you will see soon!

Check back later this week for more posts about the production process. I will also be talking about our social media page!
