Project Components

The time has come! Here is the link to me and Abby's final project! The thumbnails, movie poster, and both trailers are in this Google Drive folder. I am so excited to show this to the world and we are both very proud of our work! Final stage of filming

Filming ✅ With the help of Josh and my mom, I have finished filming my film opening. I am typing this shortly after getting back from Tequesta Trace Park, which is where we filmed the bulk of the opening. I have A LOT of footage and will have to narrow down what I want to use. But of course, it is better to have too much than too little. The filming process wasn't as difficult as I had thought it would be. Despite the bumps in the road (time management issues and busy schedules), I was able to get this part completed. Josh and I met up at the football field at Tequesta Trace Park and immediately got to work. I had asked Josh to bring his gimbal, so we could use it when recording to give the video a cooler effect. Representation

Women in sports When choosing what I wanted my film opening to be about, I took representation into high consideration. The topic of women in sports is something I feel very passionately about and incorporating it into the opening seemed like a good idea. The backbone of my film opening will be a girl playing football. There are many movies that show women playing or being a part of sports, but I feel that they are still underrepresented. Personally, I play girls flag football, which makes it even more important for me to show that girls can play football too. The plot of my opening is based on a girl that wants to play footballs, but has all of these voices telling her that she can't. This shows how the real world feels towards women and girls playing football, or sports in general, compared to men. I wish that others in society would realize how underrepresented women and girls are in the sports world. I know that my film opening ...
